Repeat Prescriptions

Following a discussion with your clinician, if you have a stable condition, it may be possible to request every second prescription online. Any arrangement for repeat prescriptions is done on an individual basis and may be changed at any time for your safety.  We recommend planning ahead to ensure your medication requirements are met.

• Prescriptions will take three working days to process.
• You must have seen the doctor in the last 6 months to discuss this medication.
• Please be aware that some new medications may require a follow-up visit after three months for review of effectiveness.  The NZ Medical Council requires that all patients receiving prescriptions be reviewed on a regular basis.
• You will receive a text message to notify you when your prescription has been sent to the pharmacy.

There is a charge of $30 ($20 with a Community Services Card) for all online or phone prescriptions.

An extra $10 charge applies for urgent scripts received within 24 hours.
