ADHD Assessment

ADHD Assessments at Rolleston Central Health

ADHD assessments will be undertaken by Craig Lynch.  Craig has a background as a nurse in intellectual disabilities and mental health with many years of experience in forensic health, intellectual disability services and mental health education.  His interest is in ADHD, ASD personality disorders, schizophrenia, and therapeutic interventions.

The comprehensive assessment follows the principles outlined in the NZ Clinical Principles Framework, including the use of structured clinical interviewing, developmental history, functional assessment, and corroborative information.

The assessment includes:

  • A structured ADHD diagnostic interview
  • A developmental history (childhood and adulthood)
  • Exploration of functional impact across domains (education, employment, relationships, social and daily functioning)
  • Review of mental health and comorbidities
  • Review of previous reports, assessments, or school records (if available)
  • Cultural considerations and responsiveness
  • Risk assessment (where relevant)

ADHD assessments with Craig are by referral only which requires a standard appointment with your own clinician (standard appointment fee applies).  The one-hour assessment and written report with Craig will incur a fee of $630.  Following this, you will book a diagnostic consultation with a clinician (standard appointment fee applies).
